
Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson (born on July 10, 1980)[1Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson is an American actress, singer as well as entrepreneur and philanthropist. After singing in church choirs as a young girl, Simpson signed with Columbia Records in 1997, at the age of seventeen. Sweet Kisses, her first studio album, was released in 1999. It sold two million copies across the United States. She also enjoyed commercial success of the hit single "I I Want To Love You Forever". Simpson decided to adopt a more mature image for her second studio album, Irresistible (2001), and its title track became her second entry in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This Skin (2003) was Simpson's third studio album, was sold to three million copies in the United States. Simpson's early career was defined by her marriage to Nick Lachey. She was also a part of MTV's reality television series Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica in 2003 and in 2005. Simpson's first Christmas album ReJoyce was released in 2004 and was certified gold. She made her film debut in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) as Daisy Duke. For the film's soundtrack, she also composed an original cover version of "These boots are made to Walk" The year 2006 saw the release of her fifth studio album A Public Affair. She also appeared in the romantic comedy film The Employee of the Month. With the release her sixth studio album Do You Know (2008), Simpson moved to the country genre. In addition to her musical endeavors, Simpson launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, a style-focused collection that includes 34 categories of products. It is the most successful known brand licensed by a celebrity that has more than $1 billion of sales so far. Simpson was also on the reality show The Price of Beauty in 2010 and judged fashion designs in two seasons of Fashion Star between 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married Eric Johnson with whom she has three kids.
